Is the version with 8K byte memory still available?
The 8K byte memory version has been discontinued, so only the 64K byte version is available in the UA-002-XX series. Customers can also consider the MX2202 HOBO Pendant MX temperature & light logger, which has Bluetooth communication and stores up to 96,000 measurements.
What type of battery does the Pendant MX temp/light logger use, and how is it replaced?
The MX2202 Pendant logger uses (1) CR2032 3V lithium battery, which is user replaceable with just a small flathead screwdriver. Battery replacement instructions and care start on page 8 of the manual. 
How can I string the HOBO Pendant sensors along a mooring line?
The optional HOBO Pendant Mounting Boot (see Accessories) offers a convenient means of securing the Pendant loggers to non-flat surfaces such as a mooring line. They are sold in a pack of 5 and include zip ties for securing to the line.
