Overview
The Solinst Levelogger 5 Junior provides an inexpensive alternative for measuring groundwater and surface water levels and temperature. The Levelogger 5 Junior combines a pressure sensor, temperature detector, a datalogger, and 5-year battery (based on a 1-minute sampling rate) in one compact 22mm x 160mm (7/8" x 6.3") stainless steel housing.

Durable
The Levelogger 5 Junior records absolute pressure using the same durable Hastelloy pressure sensor as the Levelogger 5. The Hastelloy sensor performs well in harsh environments and can withstand 2 times overpressure without permanent damage.

Data Storage
The Levelogger 5 Junior features a memory with a capacity of 75,000 sets of temperature and water level data points. Readings are linear at a user-defined interval between 0.5 seconds to 99 hours. Accuracy is 0.1% FS with lifetime factory calibration. Real Time View option allows immediate viewing of live water level and temperature readings, independent of scheduled programming intervals.

Questions & Answers
Can Leveloggers be used in saltwater or brackish environments?
Yes. Leveloggers have a corrosion-resistant coating. In harsher environments Solinst recommends taking additional steps to protect the logger. More information can be found in the user guide, page 76.
Can the Levelogger be connected to an external data logger?
Yes, the Levelogger can be integrated with an external data logger via SDI-12 output through the use of a direct read cable and SDI-12 interface cable (PN# 115133). Please see the Accessories tab for pricing on these options.
Can the Solinst Levelogger Junior logger operate in air, in the case that water drops below what is expected?
Yes, the logger would still operate. These loggers are meant to be deployed below the minimum pool, measuring pressure changes in the well. However, if the level dips below that point, the sensor will not be damaged, it would just read 0.
Once the battery dies on the Levelogger Junior, can we replace it ourselves? Or do we need to send it in for battery replacement?
The battery life on the Levelogger Junior is about 5 years with a 1 reading/min sampling rate. Once the battery has reached the end of life you will need to send the logger back to Solinst to have it replaced at the factory.
Can the Solinst Levelogger 5 accurately measure water level in a 1" well?
The Levelogger 5 is good for deployment in 2" and 4" wells. However, if the inner diameter of the well is larger than 7/8", the logger can be deployed safely within the well without any disturbances.
What is the warranty period for the Solinst Levelogger Junior?
The Levelogger Junior water level logger is warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 1-year.
