Multiparameter Testing
The Solinst Levelogger 5 combines a pressure sensor, temperature detector, 10-year lithium battery, and datalogger, sealed within a 22mm x 160mm (7/8" x 6.3") stainless steel housing with a PFAS-Free corrosion-resistant coating baked-on using polymerization technology.

Hastelloy Pressure Sensor
The Levelogger 5 measures absolute pressure using a Hastelloy pressure sensor and offers high resolution and an accuracy of 0.05% FS. Readings are stable in extreme pressure and temperature conditions. The Hastelloy sensor can withstand 2 times over-pressure without permanent damage. Combined with the durable coating inside and out, the Levelogger 5 has high corrosion and abrasion resistance in harsh environments.

Protective Design
The logger uses a Faraday cage design, which protects against power surges or electrical spikes caused by lightning. Its durable maintenance-free design, high accuracy and stability, make the Levelogger 5 the most reliable instrument for long-term, continuous water level recording.

Questions & Answers
What is the warranty period for the Levelogger?
Most standard products from Solinst carry a 3-year warranty, stating that items should be free of workmanship and material defects. There are some additional conditions that are outlined in Solinst' warranty statement found here: https://solinst.com/about/warranty.php 
Can the Levelogger be used in saltwater environments?
Yes. Leveloggers have a corrosion-resistant coating. In harsher environments Solinst recommends taking additional steps to protect the logger. More information can be found in the user guide, page 76. 
Can the Levelogger be connected to an external data logger?
Yes, the Levelogger can be integrated with an external data logger via SDI-12 output through the use of a direct read cable and SDI-12 interface cable (PN# 115133). Please see the Accessories tab for pricing on these options.
What is the difference between the Solinst 5m range Levelogger 5 loggers and the 10m, 20m, 30m, 100m and 200m loggers?
The Solinst Levelogger 5 range correlates to the maximum depth the sensor can be deployed at while still maintaining accuracy and preventing damage to the internal sensor.
How is data downloaded from deployed Leveloggers in the field?
Deployed datalogger data can be downloaded directly to a computer with the field reader, to a transportable USB unit with the DataGrabber 5, directly to a smart device with the App Interface, or to the internal logger on the Solinst Readout Unit (SRU).
What are the deployment options for the Levelogger 5?
The Levelogger 5 can be deployed using a stainless steel cable, Kevlar rope, or other secure material. Leveloggers can also be deployed using direct read cables, allowing data download without pulling the logger from the well.
Do Leveloggers contain PFAS?
No. Solinst Leveloggers are manufactured with materials known to be PFAS-free.
How often does the Levelogger need to be calibrated, and does that need to be done at the factory?
Leveloggers are factory-calibrated before they ship and will not need re-calibrated unless overpressurized or damaged in the field. A re-calibration is performed at the factory.
